The grey felt softens the visual contrast between slats and gives the finished wall a quieter, more Scandinavian feel than the high-contrast black-felt version.
Why choose grey felt over black
Black felt recedes behind the slats and emphasises the warm oak. Grey felt softens that contrast: from a distance the wall reads as a textured oak-grey blend rather than distinct slats against a void. Particularly effective in cooler styling schemes (Scandinavian, modern minimalist, soft-grey palettes) and in larger rooms where the high-contrast version might feel too busy.
