What thickness should I choose?

8mm — most affordable, ideal for bedrooms and lighter-use rooms, suitable for underfloor heating

10mm — a balanced choice, with our built-in underlay options removing the need to lay a separate underlay (saving you time and money)

12mm — our premium range, including the Lignum Fusion herringbone collection. Feels solid underfoot, AC4 rated for heavy domestic use and light commercial, with the deepest embossed wood texture in the range
Herringbone vs straight plank
Herringbone (also called parquet) is the design choice that immediately elevates a room — period properties, hallways, kitchens and open-plan living areas all suit it. The pattern is visually busier than straight plank, so it works best in rooms with relatively simple furniture. Straight plank lays faster, uses less material, and is the right choice for high-traffic corridors or rooms where you want the floor to recede visually.
